I like anime very much, so I chose Japanese as my major. Unfortunately I don’t have many chances to speak Japanese with anyone at my university. As a result my conversational Japanese is not very good. I came to Japan and wanted to improve some weaknesses. I also want to get a deeper understanding of Japanese culture and social life. I also want to make friends with other students from all over the world. I will do my best, roll my sleeves up, and get studying.

　I attended the Japanese Speech Contest in Ashiya University in December 20th. Although I left one week for myself to prepare and recite after finishing writing the article, I was so nervous that I forgot almost everything at the moment I stood on the stage. Actually because I already had the same experience before, I didn’t expect I would be nervous this time. But the reality gave me a hit. Anyway, you can’t deny that it was really a fantastic experience for me. I have learnt a lot from this experience and I can promise that I won’t be nervous next time. I will work harder and keep going.

　When I was in China I lived in the school dormitory and there were four students sharing one room. I didn’t have the experience of living alone at all, and felt a little lonely at the first few mouths in Ashiya. But now I am already used to this kind of life and really enjoy it. Meanwhile, my Japanese friend introduced me to a part-time job and I really experienced a lot. And teachers in school are really warm-hearted and help me a lot in not only the school life but also my daily life.
　Now I am aiming at passing N1 for JLPT, because N1 is required to become a Japanese teacher. So I will study harder and never give up my dreams.
