I am currently a third-year student in the Department of Japanese Studies at the University of Humanities and Social Sciences. Although it has been approximately two and a half years since I began studying Japanese, I find my knowledge of the language and Japan to still be inadequate. Thus, I believe that by studying in Japan, I can acquire a diverse range of knowledge, including firsthand experience of communication, an understanding of the culture, and insights that cannot be found in books. This is why I wish to pursue my studies in Japan.
My first impression of Japan, as recalled from my childhood memories, is its remarkable advancement. Japan's progress has always been a source of admiration for me. Over time, as I became more acquainted with Japanese culture and people, I developed a strong desire to one day make friends and immerse myself in the culture of this extraordinary country. During my study abroad period, I am committed to improving my Japanese language skills and deepening my love for Japan and its people. While studying abroad, I aspire to document my experiences and travel across Japan, fulfilling the childhood dream I have long cherished. As a result, I decided that one day I would study in Japan and experience it firsthand rather than just through computer images.
I have two primary goals for studying at Kobe Shoin Women's University:
First, I aim to delve deeply into Japanese language and culture. My future ambition is to become an interpreter. I believe that interpreting is not merely about translating Japanese sentences into Vietnamese word by word. The most crucial aspect is conveying the essence and nuance of the sentences. Therefore, I wish to refine my explanatory and presentation skills in Japan.
Second, I intend to participate actively in exchange activities. As an international student in Japan, it is essential not only to gain knowledge of the Japanese language and culture but also to engage proactively in international exchanges. I believe that studying abroad provides a valuable opportunity to learn about different cultures through interactions with diverse individuals and to share and expand the fascinating aspects of my own culture with others.
