I was attracted by the colorful Japanese culture since I was a little child. Japan not only has fantastic traditional culture like teaism and ikebana, but also has interesting modern culture like anime and comics. Therefore, with the vision of Japan, I chose Japanese as my major in the college entrance examination.
With the thought that being a Japanese teacher in the future and showing others that the unique charm of Japanese and Japanese culture, sometimes I took part in the volunteer activity as a Japanese teacher. It was from this incident that I felt the great responsibility of ‘teacher’, and the fact that I have not had enough ability to be a qualified teacher. Therefore, I think it’s necessary for me to study abroad in Japan and master professional knowledge. Certainly, not only the theory, I should also pay attention to practice. Afterwards, I want to make the best of the language environment to experience Japanese and Japanese culture in person.
Now I am given a chance to study in Japan. I will seize this valuable opportunity and make effort for becoming a teacher who keeps learning all the time.
It has been nine months since I came to Japan. For me, I have a new experience every day in the last nine months and have a wonderful life. Japanese language and culture can be learnt not only through books and TV but also through experiencing them personally. For example, at the beginning of April, I participated in a cherry-blossom viewing party with high school students from the company high school and the people from international SOROPTIMIST Kita-Harima. We had lunch, talked, and played games. The time spent together was short, but I made a Japanese friend there for the first time and enjoyed it very much. I will never forget the beautiful cherry blossoms and their smiles.
I also enjoy learning. Thanks to the university, I can take classes that interest me. So I not only selected the language classes, but also pedagogy, philosophy, and music classes, and so on. During class, I often discuss various issues with other students and exchange opinions with each other. Therefore, I can limber up my brain and think from various points of view. Besides, there are many books in university libraries that are not found in China. I enjoy borrowing them and read.
Thanks to the life of studying abroad, I met many kind people and made wonderful memories. I will continue to do my best.
It‘s time to leave Hyogo University of Teacher Education.
In the past year, I have had a fun and fulfilling life. I was able to learn a lot of knowledge in various classes, and I benefited a lot. The teachers and Japanese students not only taught me about the professional knowledge and Japanese culture, but also helped me in my daily life. I have been participating in the seminar by Dr. Tanaka since April, and I am grateful to be able to study and discuss with them. Ms. Nishiwaki, the tutor, also taught me Japanese knowledge that I didn't know well, and she was eager to help me when I was confused. Thanks to everybody’s cooperation, I have successfully researched the issue of "How can we see the cat culture from the proverbial".
Also, the friendship family invited me with open arms. I felt the warmth from my father and mother of the friendship family and never felt lonely even though I was from away from my hometown.
Thanks to studying abroad at Hyogo University of Teacher Education, I am able to meet friendly people and good things, and I really grew up mentally. In the future, I will use my knowledge and experience that learnt here to help my work.
